bvdub

Brock Van Wey aka Bvdub continues his amazingly prolific output with the first of two limited and sublime 12"s for Millions of Moments, explores his niche for stepped dub techno with two tracks built around leaden offset kickdrums and sunken basslines creating a soup of dub pressure, while rich layers of atmospheric synthlines relieve the pressure above in beautiful styles. This is the kind of spacious, sublime low-end techno that the likes of the Meanwhile and Styrax labels have excelled at and is another beautifully realised transmission from Bvdub and the Millions of Moments crew. The second of these releases from Brock Van Wey for the MoM imprint explores his steadier 4/4 dub techno pulses in two variations, with 'Wish I Was Here' taking a more uplifting vibe with lush chord sequences leading to a dense crescendo, and 'Vermillion' on the flip opting for a more muted approach with minor chords and an omnipresent overcast feeling.
